Air shocks are designed for light duty vehicles that
haul loads or tow trailers on an occasional basis. They can inflate
from 20 psi to 150 psi while maintaining level vehicle height, even
while the vehicle is loaded.
Note: Air shocks are only available
for the rear of a vehicle, there are no front vehicle
applications. Vehicle suspension, tires, and
transmission are limiting factors in the load
carrying ability of a vehicle. Where more support
and capability are required, loadlevelers are recommended.
Note: Newer trucks with a Height Sensing Brake
Proportioning Valve or Height Sensitive Electronics (most notably ABS brakes)
are not suitable for air shocks as they will compromise the
braking and safety of the vehicle. For these vehicles, a
loadleveler would most likely be the only alternative if applicable.
